A couple hours ago I was going through my Twitter Timeline and ran across a great article.  The article is about Generation Y in the Workplace.  What really caught my eye in the article is one of the last paragraphs:

While Generation X continues to emphasize the importance of maintaining a professional online image, we who grew up using Facebook and MySpace as places to share our photos and lives with our friends don’t want to turn it into a purely professional arena. I’ve found that the most meaningful connections I’ve made were when I’ve exposed the more personal aspects of my life. Plus, the next generations will literally

 grow up documenting their entire lives online. It’s unrealistic to expect them to erase their histories off the internet once t

hey reach a certain age. Employers must learn to judge job applicants not by their past but by what they can bring to the company.

What some are calling the semifinal I am calling the most anticipated game in college football. Two of the best teams in college football go head to head.  Alabama Crimson Tide (#1) against the Florida Gators (#2).  I will have to say this is the FIRST time in my life I have ever pulled for Alabama.  I did however expect to see a blow out with Florida’s speed being too much for Alabama to handle.  Thankfully I was wrong with that and Alabama’s power held its own.  

The first 3 and a half quarters it was neck to neck, I was on the edge of my seat the entire game.  Then one play, one single sack turned everything around mid 4th quarter.  John Parker Wilson was sacked by Jermaine Cunningham to force an Albama punt.  This was the turning point in the game.  Florida scored on the following drive increasing their 4 point lead to 11.  Alabama comes back out on their next drive needing a quick score and an onside kick.  John Parker Wilson gets pressured and tries to throw the ball away instead he throws the only interception of the game to Joe Haden, which seals the deal for Florida.  Final score Florida 31, Alabama 20.

Now there’s a few questions.  Will this win take Florida to the BCS National Championship game?  Which team from the Big 12 will goto the game?  Oklahoma or Texas?  A win for Oklahoma today should send them, a loss should send Texas.  Currently Oklahoma is up 3-0 against Mizzou in the Big 12 Championship.  I am a small Texas fan so I have to pull for Mizzou here. 

Tomorrow I will be working on a featured post over at Lincolnluxor previewing the BCS National Championship game.  Adam Tate was nice enough to allow me this opportunity to write the artile, and I am very excited about it!

I just received an email from I Want Sandy saying Values of n (the company behind I Want Sandy) is closing its doors.  Values of n is also the company

 behind Stikkit which will also be shut down.  The announcement stats that Twitter has acquired both companies, but has no immediate plans to incorporate the two sites features into Twitter.  

I must say that I signed up for the I Want Sandy service a few months back and even used it a few times.  I found it to be pretty useful in some cases, but I still found Outlook much easier to use.

Sarah Palin Calls Bocephus 
It took a week for her to track him down, but vice presidential hopeful Sarah Palin finally spoke with Hank Williams Jr. on a cell phone. Right off the bat, Sarah told Hank that she had all his albums. “Huge fan,” she said. She also told him that she’d appreciate any help he could give her and Sen. John McCain.

“I hunt moose,” said Sarah.

“I hunt moose, too,” he replied. “I have a house in Montana.”

The vice presidential candidate and the country star agreed to hang out and do some moose hunting together. In the meantime, Hank will be performing Monday (Oct. 13) in Virginia Beach, Va., to open a rally featuring McCain and Palin.
